Europe's main stock benchmarks lost ground Thursday, extending their drop for the week as investors remain concerned that trade-related fights could turn into a big drag on the global economy.
The Stoxx Europe 600 index fell 0.5% to 378.26, erasing most of Wednesday's 0.7% gain.
The U.K.'s FTSE 100 dipped less than 0.1% to 7,619.66, while Germany’s DAX 30 lost 0.7% to 12,256.72. France’s CAC 40 shed 0.4% to 5,308.10.
The euro rose to $1.1586, up modestly from $1.1554 late Wednesday in New York.
