Facing the call for impeachment it self, American President Donald Trump on Tuesday (9/24) spoke at the UN General Assembly session. He reiterated his defense of the importance of the spirit of nationalism and called for American sovereignty, including forging a multi-national response to increasing aggression from Iran.
Trump called on world leaders to prioritize their respective countries by each supporting border safeguards and entering into bilateral trade agreements, opposing broad transnational organizations and alliances.
Trump also pushed for the importance of promoting freedom of consent and religion.
In another part of his speech, President Trump focused on the national interests of America. He said state security had been disturbed by Iranian threats, and reminded Iran to cancel its aggression against American allies in the Middle East.
When speculation about whether Trump would meet with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the UN General Assembly meeting in New York culminated, Trump stepped up the realization of the question by saying "America has never trusted the existence of an eternal enemy. We need partners, not opponents. "
