President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (12/6) that he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Japan later this month.
"I will meet Putin on the G20 event," Trump told reporters at the White House.
The US leader said last month he would meet with Putin at the G20 meeting, but Russia at that time had not agreed on bilateral meetings.
Trump's last face-to-face meeting with Putin in Helsinki in July 2018, compilation did not involve his own staff, and this was a huge difference from normal diplomatic practices.
