The yen advances and the Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index snaps a three-day decline as trade concerns see havens bid and high-beta currencies under modest pressure.

The greenback advances versus most of its Group-of-10 peers, except yen and Swiss franc.

USD/JPY slips 0.2% to 108.44, down a fifth day; U.S. House voted to sanction Chinese officials for human rights abuses, which Beijing threatened to retaliate against.

China Foreign Ministry spokeswoman says that U.S. will pay price over the bill.
