Gold Prices Flat; Vulnerable to Near-Term Correction

Gold prices are flat in early Asian trade as investors remain unsure on the outlook for further monetary easing by the U.S. Fed.

Gold is likely to continue to resonate with investors as it provides the "ultimate hedge against recessionary fears which remain elevated," AxiTrader says. However, gold remains vulnerable to a near-term correction, it says.

Spot gold is flat at $1,500.32/oz.
