Futures on Monday pointed to a sharply lower open for U.S. stocks, but Dow futures pulled off their session lows of more than 360 points.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures implied an opening drop of 275 points on Monday as of 6 a.m. ET. Futures also pointed to opening declines for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq on Monday.
The moves came amid market turmoil in the Asian trading session on Monday, with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index dropping nearly 3% and Japan’s Nikkei 225 falling more than 2.5%. The MSCI Asia ex-Japan index also sank more than 2%.
