The S&P 500 rose slightly on Wednesday, as minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest meeting reflected confidence in the economy’s strength.
The Dow Jones industrial average pared small early gains to trade down 10 points, dragged down by a nearly 1% drop in Boeing shares. The Nasdaq composite was up 0.7%.
The Federal Reserve released the minutes of its March monetary policy meeting at 2 p.m. ET. Last month, the U.S. central bank decided to maintain interest rates and hold off an any further increases this year.
