China equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil Equipment Services & Distribution, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite fell 5.22% to hit a new 3-year low, while the SZSE Component index fell 6.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Gangtai Holdin, which rose 10.05% or 0.370 points to trade at 4.050 at the close. Hengtong Logistics Co Ltd added 10.02% or 1.32 points to end at 14.49 and Sichuan Golden Summit Group Joint Stock Co Ltd was up 9.97% or 0.590 points to 6.510 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anhui Wanwei Updated High-tech Material Industry Co Ltd, which lost 10.15% or 0.270 points to trade at 2.390 in late trade. Heilongjiang Interchina Water Treatment Co Ltd declined 10.14% or 0.290 points to end at 2.570 and Chongqing Dima Industry Co Ltd shed 10.14% or 0.290 points to 2.570.
