China stocks closed lower on Thursday as 360 Security Technology Inc. contributed the most to the index decline, decreasing 5.9 percent. HNA Technology Co. had the largest drop, falling 10.1 percent.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.5 percent at 2,791.78 in Shanghai. The move follows the previous session's increase of 0.9 percent.
Today, 1180 of 1482 shares fell, while 255 rose; all sectors were lower, led by industrial stocks.
China’s CSI 300 dropped 0.4 percent to 3,403.59
The Chinese yuan strengthened against the U.S. dollar to 6.8747 from 6.8786.
The MSCI AC Asia Pacific Index declined 0.3 percent.
