The Shanghai Composite index rose 0.4 percent at 2,724.63 in Shanghai. The move follows the previous session's decrease of 0.7 percent. CSI 300 rose 0.4 percent to 3,320.03 at close
Ping An Insurance Group Co. of China contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 2.0 percent. Silvery Dragon Prestressed Materials Co. Tianjin had the largest increase, rising 10.1 percent.
Today, 931 of 1478 shares rose, while 423 fell; all sectors were higher, led by industrial stocks.
The Chinese yuan weakened against the U.S. dollar to 6.8692 from 6.8418.
The benchmark 10-year bond rose and the yield fell 1.7 basis points to 3.623 percent.
The MSCI AC Asia Pacific Index declined 0.3 percent.
