Hong Kong stocks closed higher on Monday, extending last week's gains and joining rallies across Asian markets as fears ease over US interest rate rises.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.74 percent, or 231.43 points, to end at 31,498.60.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.23 percent, or 40.55 points, to 3,329.57. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, jumped 2.24 percent, or 39.85 points, to close at 1,815.02.
