Civil Rights Group Proposes Request To Block Trump's New Asylum Rules

Several civil rights groups on Wednesday (17/7) requested a motion to request temporary detention orders in an effort to block the asylum rules of Trump's new government, which came into force on Tuesday (16/7).

The new rules of the Trump administration will decide to approve migrations across the US-Mexico border, if without consent and are denied asylum in any country they pass, on their way to America.

The move comes after three organizations, namely: the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the South Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the Center for Constitutional Rights, requested a lawsuit Tuesday to demand the new regulation.

A senior adviser at the SPLC representing the case, Melissa Crow said, "The new rules will have enormous complexity for people, especially those who have been waiting in Mexico for a long time, because government officials are spending asylum seekers on the border "

The Trump administration official said that new asylum rules must be approved to apply to the current US asylum system.
