US-backed Syrian forces have approved more than 100 women and children from ISIS members to their home countries, local officials for VOA said.
The Syrian Democratic Forces or SDF, a military coalition that leads the Kurds and supported by the US on Wednesday (8/5), said Kazakhstan and Sweden were countries that had received back some of the countries supported in northeast Syria.
"We have asked more than 70 children and 32 women for representatives of the Kazakhstan government yesterday," Kamal Akif, spokesman for the Kurdish government in northeast Syria, told VOA.
Sweden received seven children on the same day. Officials in Sweden have confirmed the surrender of the children.
