Gold inched closer to $1,300 an ounce as the dollar weakened and investors turn their focus to a U.K. Parliament vote on a revised Brexit deal.
Spot gold +0.1% to $1,294.78/oz at 7:45am in London. In others precious metals, Silver +0.5%, Platinum +1.3% and Palladium +0.3%.
U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker made “meaningful” adjustments to the Brexit deal that had been opposed by British lawmakers. Parliament is set to vote on the deal Tuesday. On the trade front, Xinhua News Agency reported China’s Vice Premier Liu He and his American counterparts decided on arrangements for the next stage of talks.
