Gold technicals are still “relatively bearish,” according to Benjamin Lu, Singapore-based analyst at Phillip Futures, and the latest CFTC data showed money managers are increasingly negative.
Bullion for immediate delivery fell 0.3% to $1,212.17/oz.
Prices slumped 0.8% last week, a fourth weekly loss.
In other precious metals: Silver -0.3% to $15.3693/oz, Platinum +0.1% to $831.70/oz, Palladium flat at $912.97/oz. (arl)
