Gold's 14-day relative-strength index exceeded 70 recently, a signal to some traders and analysts that the metal may have become overbought.
Palladium weakened 0.2% at $1,099.73/oz, prices reached $1,113.50 on Tuesday, ~1% below 2001’s record. Silver gained 0.6% to $17.075/oz while latinum traded 0.1% lower at $964.71/oz.
